About Destiny U
Our History
Destiny University , originally called CCLMI, is a result of Pastor Crute ’s matriculation in the Doctorate of Strategic Leadership program at Regent University , sparked by his Creativity and Innovation coursework in early 2005. Shortly after this course, the Organizational Development and Strategy Team of experienced professionals in Human Resources, Information Technology, Employment Law, Education, and Organizational Development were convened to help provide the strategic framework for the Center. The Organizational Development & Strategy Team was renamed the CCLMI Advisory Team, and it is now called the DestinyU Advisory Team. Since 2005, this strategic arm of the ministry has developed over 30 courses and programs with an overall 95% satisfaction rating. Many offerings supported leadership development, service excellence, and life balance/optimization. However, in 2007 it became clear that a more strategic comprehensive approach to leadership and volunteerism was critical to fulfill the vision and mission of Destiny. So the leadership and volunteer pathways were developed to meet the need for this intentional process of equipping seasoned, developing and emerging individuals at every level of ministry to discover and develop their character, competencies and commitment for the fulfillment of the Destiny vision and mission and advance the Kingdom of God . As result, in 2009 CCLMI needed to be rebranded and retooled to more strategically align with the ministry needs and direction beyond training courses and human resource initiatives. Thus, in 2010 Destiny University was created to equip and commission the people God has entrusted to this ministry to have a Kingdom impact for the Glory of God.
Scriptural Support
DestinyU provides a viable solution to the plea in Ephesians 4:12-13, “to train Christians in skilled servant work, working within Christ's body, the church, until we're all moving rhythmically and easily with each other, efficient and graceful in response to God's Son, fully mature adults, fully developed within and without, fully alive like Christ” (Message).
Our Vision
DestinyU is to be a premier ministry university to strategically equip and commission Destiny’s people to fulfill the vision, mission and values and advance the Kingdom of God in all spheres of cultural influence.
Our Mission
DestinyU equips the Destiny family to more effectively execute their responsibilities in the Church by offering continuous learning experiences, implementing creative ministry approaches, and providing relevant Biblical leadership development and ministry training for maximum impact.
