Paul says that serving at Destiny has impacted him in a major way, one being that he has enjoyed connecting with people and continues to thrive on the relationships that have formed amongst his teams. He feels as if serving is “the least that I can do, as operating in my SHAPE keeps me humble”. When asked how he would motivate others to serve at Destiny, he boldly states that “God has been too good to us and serving is the absolute LEAST we can do to demonstrate His goodness and love to us and others”. Paul’s Team Leaders have collectively said the same thing about him: “Paul Broadie is an EXCELLENT LEADER! He is consistent and serves as a role model for several of his peers. He never hesitates when called upon.”

Aisha came to Destiny through a member who invited her to a service, and she eventually became a full-fledged member in October 2010. Because she didn’t know anyone when she first came (the person who invited her transitioned), and thought it would be a great way to get to know more people and learn about Destiny, Aisha decided to jump right into serving in ministry in February 2011. Aisha’s current ministries are: Holy High Ministry, Drama Team, and Singles Ministry.

When asked what Aisha’s volunteering highlight to date was, she had this to say “Being able to be a part of 3 great ministries and getting to know the individuals who serve in those ministries! One event I volunteered at that stands out was the Back to School event held in August. I was assigned to paint
the nails of little girls. I had a lot of fun chatting with the girls learning about them in that short period of time they sat at my table! It was good to see them smile because they liked what I had done! I also enjoyed being able to be creative in how I did their nails.”

Aisha says that through serving in ministry at Destiny, she has been able to meet a lot of great people and make some great friends as well. Choosing to volunteer really helped her to step out of her comfort zone and learn how to be a blessing to others instead of always coming on Sundays and only receiving the blessings! She continues by stating that she hopes in the time that she has served at Destiny that she has made a positive impact whether it was: a smile, a greeting showed, a hug given,
or even encouraging words shared.

She boldly states that she would get others involved in ministry by telling them like the Nike slogan says to “Just Do it!!” She continues by stating that “I would also share with them my experiences with serving; the wonderful things I have learned, experienced; the people who have taught me things; and the wonderful opportunities that have come because I made the choice to serve! If they are looking for a way to meet other people in the church and truly learn about Destiny, then serving is a great way! I started serving to be a blessing to others and it's amazing how many times I have been blessed by those I was serving!”

We had an INCREDIBLE time at the Destiny Summit! Hundreds of members gathered for 5 days to be refreshed, renewed and unified. We laughed, cried and stood together as we learned and began to embody the Destiny vision; 'To develop generationally-minded christians, who live passionately to SHAPE the culture for God's glory'!

We gave away hundreds of dollars in gas cards and we even gave away a car!

If you made a financial contribution to Destiny Metropolitan Worship Church in 2011 and have created an online account on the church’s website, your contribution statement can now be accessed online. We will NOT be mailing statements out.

You may retrieve your statement by following these three (3) steps:

1. Log in using your email address and password. If your user ID is not your email address, you will be asked to update your account.

2. Once you are logged in, scroll down until you see “Contribution History” and change the year to 2011. Click on “Print View” and you will be able to see your record of contributions.

3. Print this statement by clicking “Print Statement” located in the right top corner of the screen.

Paper statements will be mailed to those donors who do not have an online account. Statements may also be emailed directly to donors upon request.

Sessions:
We offer two sessions of our premarital class per year. The first session starts in January. The second session starts in June. Classes are facilitated by married couples who are trained to facilitate our sessions and show evidence of having Christ-centered marriages. There is a fee associated with this class which covers the cost of class materials. If you would like to participate, feel free to join us.

Destiny will be hosting a gathering for Destiny members to cultivate the passion in them...to change the world around them.
